Photos of 2009 : Some selected (mostly holiday shots)

Well it's a web-site of sorts!  I'm afraid it's not relaxing doing more IT-related stuff in my spare time so this is a bog-standard template and will probably remain that way for some time!

We've all had a good year.  Bob the Border has meant a change of excercise regime to more walking as we march the kids up to school most mornings.  He's turned out to be a great family dog.  Myself and the children started eating fish after a day's sea-fishing whilst on holiday in Ireland.  It's proved a useful option when I've been abroad and the veggie options are limited!  Did a boys canoe/camp/fishing(!)  trip down the River Wye in the summer over one of the rare weekends when it didn't rain.  See my blog for an account.  We've had some active holidays in Ireland, Anglesey and Zakopane-Poland this year.

Holly has started guitar lessons at school and is now proficiently playing Jingle Bells for Christmas and trying to write her own material.  Her gymnastics is improving too and she still does football at school with her pink-laced boots!  She has also progressed in swimming and has passed her level 4.

It has been a studious year for Jack as he prepared for his 11+ exam at the beginning of December.  Now that's behind us he can devote all his energies to....Call of Duty on the PS3! His sporting achievements continue apace as his Cricket team won their league on the final day of the season.  He elected to play for his old football team (in the year above) and has managed the transition to 11-a-side complete with offside rule well.

Julie's ancestry searches led to a distant relative contacting her this year.  She's managed to keep her walking group and yoga going in what little time is left after sorting the rest of us out.
